With this M.A.L.-Plugin you can capture videodata from all cameras based on DirectShow. There is a Sync-Channel that synchronizes the video with the IPEmotion-Timebase. Please notice that this M.A.L-Plugin is still in Beta-State. It is designed for later IPEmotion Releases and has several restrictions at this time.

Restrictions:
- The Sync-Channel only shows the current Frame-Number and no Video-Frame
- There is no Play-Function for the captured video in IPEmotion at this time
- Only Raw-Mode and Morgan M-JPEG Encoder is supported for capturing
- All video are saved on D:\\

I tried to install the plugin on D: instead of C:, because the core software also sits in D:. But the plugin is not detected. Do i have to install everything on C:?

Hi,

NO, the installation on another drive like D: is also possible. I've just tried it with the path:
D:\Programme\IPETRONIK\IPEmotion MAL-PlugIn Video V01.00.00 RC Build 12009\
and the plugin was detected correctly

Hi,

i installed exactly the same way: Program and Plugin at
D:\Programme\IPETRONIK\IPEmotion V01.03.01
D:\Programme\IPETRONIK\IPEmotion MAL-PlugIn Video V01.00.00 RC Build 12009,
but no success.

Also, uninstall of both and reinstall under C: gave no success.

With the last version of video-mal, it worked with my microscope camera. To cross-check, i loaded the demo mal, and this worked also.
Does it need the camera detection to show the plugin in the options/mal list? It appeared there for the last version (as far i remember also with camera plugged off), but not for this one.

Hi,

which driver is recognized by IPEmotion depends on the entries in the registry.
I suspect this path could be wrong, but I don't know why.
Please check the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IPETRONIK\IPEmotion\MAL\32495045-0001-14F7-5669-64656F53796E\5
the path under the key 01.00.00.12009 should be your installation path, for example:
C:\Programme\IPETRONIK\IPEmotion MAL-PlugIn Video V01.00.00 RC Build 12009\

Hi,

i checked the registry key, and it looks perfectly.

In the meantime, i tested the actual Ipemotion V01.0400 RC Build 12240 on C:, and this loads the video MAL. Going back to the V01.03.00 standard core software on C:, it doesnt. To me, it looks like a version conflict between driver and core.

The video MAL is only available for IPEtion version >= 1.04.00

Please try with the RC 1.0400 also available on our homepage

Hi,

there might be a problem with the selected M-JPEG Encoder. Try to record your video without any video compression and see if the problem still exists.
The Video-M.A.L. is currently being redesigned and there will be a new version available soon.

do you know what kind of features will be in the next version?

- storage location preferences
- Triggering?
- different codecs and kompressions?

We intend to work on features like triggering and new storage location preferences, but at this time it is too early to tell you more detailed information.

I know this is a beta version. I only try to test this and play a little bit...

What do you mean with without compression?
Where could I set this up?

I also tried to change the sampling rate into 5 HZ but there a message came up....
"Videoformat wird nicht unterstützt".

What are the best preferences at the video tab in IPEmotion?

I have a short question. I tried to record a movie at my netbook.
I got a message: "USB-Videogerät: Der gewählte Codec ist nicht verfügbar."

What do I have to do to record video data with the video M.A.L. beta?

I would imagine that this will be further developed to get a "real" version 1, where you could enter storage paths aso.
